My academic research explores the ways in which social class and working conditions affect literature and culture. I became interested in this topic as a graduate student and wrote a dissertation about 20th century American women writers such as Edith Wharton, Nella Larsen, and Sylvia Plath, which is now a book from Routledge.
I’ve also written about contemporary neoliberal labor and the conditions of adjunct professors in the academy.
