My name is Polina Kroik and I am a writer and an adjunct professor in New York City. For the past few years I’ve been teaching literature and writing at Baruch College and Fordham University while working on academic projects, journalism, and creative writing.
I’ve always been passionate about writing and literature, and maybe for this reason I can’t stick to just one subject and my genre. In my scholarships and journalism I usually focus on issues of social justice, most often on the ways in which women and men are harmed by economic inequality. But when I’m teaching or writing creative pieces I take a larger view of things. Language and literature offer infinite opportunities for insight and transformation–something that great novelists and poets have discovered, and that we, in turn, can discover through their work.
